                   AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHATTANOOGA CITY CODE, 
                   PART II, CHAPTER 24, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 
                   24-44, RELATIVE TO AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION.
                   
                   
                                                     
                   
                   
       	    	 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF 
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE:
       	    	 SECTION 1.  That Chattanooga City Code, Part II, Chapter 
       24, be and is hereby amended so as to add a new Section 24-44 as 
       follows:
            Sec. 24-44.	   Automobile registration required.
            
            	 No vehicle may be operated upon the streets, 
            highways, or public thoroughfares of the City unless 
            such vehicle has been properly registered as required by 
            state law.  
            
            
       	    	 SECTION 2.  That this ordinance shall be effective two 
       (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
